WHAT WE BELIEVE 

  Recaptured Passion Ministries Statement of Faith:

 

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative Word of God, and that it is true without any mixture of error.
  • We believe in the One and Only, True God.  He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe.  He is Eternal and exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus is God’s only Son; that he was born of a virgin; lived a sinless life; died on a cross and shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins; was bodily resurrected on the third day; ascended to the right hand of God in Heaven; and will personally return to earth in power, splendor, majesty, and glory.
  • We believe that God made man in His own image, and that by his own free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the entire human race.  As a result, man was separated from God and on his own could not reconcile himself with his Creator.  The only remedy for this was the perfect sacrifice of God’s own Son, Jesus Christ, who in His vicarious and atoning death, made it possible for man to be at peace with God through faith in the finished work of Christ.
  • We believe that when a person exercises saving faith in Jesus Christ they become a new creation with a new nature and a new heart.  They are justified by God’s grace, accepted by the Father, forever set apart for God’s holy purposes, and their eternal destiny secured in Heaven.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation and equips them for ministry in this present world.
  • We believe in the ministry of the local church, the Bride and Body of Christ, and that each believer should align themselves with that Body so that they might be encouraged, discipled, and equipped to serve the church and community.
  • We believe that God, in His own time and way, will bring this present world to an end, and that Jesus Christ will visibly and personally return to earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.  The unrighteous will be sent to the place of everlasting punishment, Hell.  The righteous will receive their reward and live in Heaven forever with the Lord.
